Obituary for William Willis

William Willis
July 23, 1919 - Oct 5, 2016
Allan William (Bill) Willis of Dover, passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital on Oct. 5, 2016. He was the oldest child of John and Dinah Willis of Dover! He is predeceased by his wife, Rosalind (June 2016), 2 sons: Selby, (1972), A. Frank (2011), and 2 sisters Kathy Wells and Elizabeth Langdon.
He leaves to mourn Sons: Marvin John (Beatrice), Newman (Madeline), Carson (Pamela), Laurin (Jane), and Daughters: Juanita (Harry) Button, and Cynthia (Dave) Rowlands, Sister Shirley Lutz, Brothers Harry and Reuben, and 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Bill lived for more than 97 years, and over those years he met with a lot of people; all of which, I am sure, would speak highly of his character. Bill was as a loving father and husband, and loved by all who knew him and dear to his children and grandchildren alike. He was a man of integrity, ingenuity, wit, and humour. He’s had an enormous influence on all of us and he will be sorely missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at James Paton Memorial Hospital for their care given to our father.
Resting at Oram’s Funeral Home in Dover NL. Funeral to take place on Saturday at 2:00 pm from the Salvation Army in Dover with internment to follow in the Salvation Army cemetery.
