It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan Janes announce her passing at JPMH on March 22, 2023 at the age of 86 years.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Janice (Dave), Jacqueline (Harold), Paul and Donnie (Sue); grandchildren: Michelle, Karla, Christopher, Ryan, Benjamin and Mackenzie;
great grandchildren: Brigid, Morgan, Kolton, James, Zayn, Amir, William, Emma; brother: Max Saunders and a big circle of nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by husband Lester, special friend Clar and her parents Giles and Julia Saunders.
Sisters: Ena, Charlotte, Dorothy; brothers: Gerald, Andrew, Philip, Vincent, Raymond, Fred, Eugene and Bert.

There will be visitation held at Oram's Funeral Home in Glovertown on Friday March 24, 2023, from 7-9pm.

Funeral service will take place on Saturday March 25, 2023 at 2:00pm in The Salvation Army Citadel.
Service will be live streamed to Oram's Funeral Homes Facebook Page.
Interment to follow at Salvation Army Cemetery.

Donations can be made in her memory to the Janeway Hospital, St John's.

We would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Paulus, nurses and staff for their kindness and compassion shown to mom and family.
Also, to the staff and management of Oram's Birchview Manor where she resided happily for the past 7 months with her brother and many new and old friends.
