Obituary for Mildred Wells (Lane)
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that in her 93rd year, Mildred passed away peacefully at Brookfield Hospital.
Mildred is now reunited with her parents, William and Janet Lane; siblings, Evelyn (Joe) Dyke and Ethel (Charles) Matchim; and her beloved husband and best friend of 69 years, Charles.
Lovingly remembered by her sons Donald (Janice) and Dean (Cheryl), her grandchildren Jeffrey (Leigh-Anne), Kimberley (Robert), Victoria (Michael), Matthew (Alisha), Sarah, Brooke, sister-in-law Vera (Robert), as well as her 8 great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
She loved baking bread, making partridge berry jam, berry picking, knitting, and cooking feasts for her family. Mildred would be the first to tell you that her family was her greatest gift in life. She loved her family unconditionally and with such pride. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will take place at the Oram’s Funeral Home in Glovertown on January 6th, 2023 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
Funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel in Glovertown on January 7th, 2023 at 2pm.
Service will be Live streamed to Oram's Funeral Homes Facebook Page.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations for the Brookfield Hospital, whose staff lovingly cared for Mildred as if she was their own mother.
