It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved family member, Hilda
Maria Bradley on February 5th, 2021. At the age of seventy-two, she passed peacefully after a
courageous battle with cancer.
Predecessor by her parents William (Uncle Billy) and Meadus of Flat Island, and brother Cyril
(Lou) of Sandringham.
She leaves to mourn with loving memories, her devoted husband of fifty-three years Aubrey,
daughters Cathy (Glenn) and Tina (Dennis), her sisters Bride and Carella (Eugene), her
grandchildren Jarrett (Julia), Bradley (Kendra), Tyler (Abby) and Hailey, along with a large circle
of nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Sandringham, where she spent the entirety of her life. Many of her
childhood friends remained close throughout the years, and she spent her whole life creating
everlasting bonds with these people.
She will be remembered for her love of the outdoors. Whether it was berry picking, moose
hunting, getting firewood, or just enjoying nature around the cabin - this was what she loved to
do. She was a devoted member of The Anglican Church and enjoyed being a member of her
ACW, Cursill and bible study groups. She dearly loved being a grandparent. She would gladly
bring her grandchildren around for a weekend of baking, swimming in Sandy Cove, trips to the
cabin, and anything else that they wanted to do.
We will miss but always remember her kindness. She lived by the “Golden Rule” and would do
without something herself rather then see anyone in need.
Visitation will be held at Oram’s Funeral Home in Eastport on Sunday, February 7th, from 3pm -
5pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visitation is by invitation only.
Funeral service to be held at Sandringham’s Anglican Church of the Ressurection on Monday,
February 8th. The same restrictions apply to the church service.
The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the
Church of the Resurection in Sandringham.
