It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of Eileen Maggie Arnold. Eileen passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital on Friday, September 18, 2020, and was surrounded by her family until the end.
Eileen was born in Traytown, March 28, 1923 to the late Hezekiah and Mary Ralph. At the age of 18 she married her childhood sweetheart, Raymond. They had 69 years together, and had 6 children, Rex, Edith, Billy, Gary, Randy and Kye. In 1968 they moved to Grand Falls, and Eileen went to work as a bartender. After completing a typing course at night school, she took a position as receptionist at the Carmelite House, and later as the Head Housekeeper at a hotel.
Eileen was predeceased by her son, Billy, her parents, Hezekiah and Mary Ralph, sisters, Lillian, Lauretta, Mildred and her husband Raymond.
She loved her children unconditionally and loved to see the grandchildren and great grandchildren visit.
Eileen leaves behind her children Rex(Glenda), of Traytown, Edith(Austin) of Glovertown, Gary(Sylvia) of Deseronto, Randy of Halifax and Kye(Shirley) of Traytown. She will be sadly missed by her children, her grandchildren, Larry, Elaina, Cynthia, Tracy, Stacey, Wayne, Roxann, Ashley, and Raymond. Great grandchildren, Andrew, Rachel, Sarah, Keana, Haylee, Cody, Emma, Lucas, Matthew, Rachel, Jayden, Evan and Rylee, and other relatives and friends.
As she leaves we know she is in a better place, and she is at peace. No more suffering and no more lonely hours due to lockdown.
Rest in peace mom, we will always love you.
Due to Covid19 a family service will be held at Faith United Church on September 22, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
Expression of sympathy may be made by charitable donation in Eileen’s memory to the CNIB.

To Wayne, Christine, Matthew, Rachel, and family:

We would like to offer our condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. It is never easy to lose a loved one and it is even more difficult during the Covid-19 pandemic. I'm so glad that we service a God who can enter into our thoughts and feelings. Hebrews 4: 16 tells us to "approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need" (NIV).

Please be assured that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this time and in the days to come.

Labrodor Presbytery (PAONL) and your home Church (Glad Tidings Lab West).
