Obituary for Chloe Elizabeth Collins

It is with great sadness that the family of Chloe Elizabeth Collins announce her peaceful passing. Surrounded by love, she was called home on August 3, 2020 at James Paton Memorial Hospital.

Chloe was born in Dover NL on March 5, 1950, to Cecil and Greta Keats. Married to husband Lorne for 50 years they raised Micheal, Michelle, Blake and Blair.

Many who had the privilege of knowing Chloe spoke of her love for her family, strong work ethic, devotion to her faith and of course her passion for cooking. Her quiet demeanour and quick easy smile will be missed by all who knew her. Chloe was preceded in death by her parents, numerous in laws, special aunt Chloe Steele, and nephew Matthew Keats.

She is survived by her husband Lorne, son Micheal (Heather), best friend and daughter Michelle (Shawn and Shaunna), son Blair (Karen and Lukas),and son Blake (Charlene). Her beautiful grandchildren: Caitlyn Collins, Jonathon Hickey, Jordan Hickey, Andrew Baysarovich. Siblings: Melita Keats , Leo (Joyce)Keats, Wilson Keats, Fred(Pat)Keats, Mildred (Fred)Bridger, Cecil(Nellie)Keats, Gerri(Claude)Elliot, Denise(Hayward)Blake, Derrick(June)Keats ,Dennis(Patsy) Keats, Rosalind(Dwight)Collins,Cory(Cindy)Keats. Chloe came from a large family and married into a large family. Chloe had a special place in her heart for all of her nieces and nephews who she had strong bonds with.

Remembered for her famous “chicken and chips” her spirit will live on in her family that she so deeply loved. The family would like to thank her caregivers Emma White and Sherry Bursey. Special thanks to her wonderful “army”: Gerri, Denise, Rosalind, Marie and Joyce, who remained by Michelle and Chloes’s side until the end. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at James Paton for their devotion to our wonderful Chloe.
