Bertha Collins was born to Eli and Flossie Collins of Newport on December 8th, 1932. She married Nelson Collins who was also from Newport and together they were blessed with three children, two boys: Terry and Junior and one daughter: Corinna. Bertha loved to go back to her roots at Newport where she and Nelson had their cabin and reminisce about their times spent there. Bertha was a Home League member and loved to attend church with her husband Nelson until health prevented her from doing so. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be missed dearly.
Bertha is predeceased by: Husband: Nelson; Son: Terry; Sister: Amelia; Mother and Father: Eli and Flossie Collins
She leaves to mourn with loving memories: Son: Junior (Pam); Daughter: Corinna (Randy); Grandchildren: Ryan (Winola), Renee, Terri-lynn (David), Chantelle, Karen (Omar) and Kirk; Great Grandchildren: Courtney, Brooklynn, Paisley, Abigail, Sophia, Jaide, Carter, Megan, Lana and Landon; Sisters: Shirley (Russ) and Louise; Brothers: Fred (Jean) and Eli and daughter-in-law Effie as well as a large circle of family and friends.
