Obituary for Jean Ella (Beaton) Rowsell
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Jean Ella (Beaton) Rowsell of Brampton, Ontario (formerly of Glovertown, Newfoundland).
Surrounded by loving family, mom passed peacefully away at her home in Brampton, Ontario on January 26, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mom was born in Norris Arm, Newfoundland on May 9, 1934 to parents Robert and Mary (Whitt) Beaton (both deceased).
Leaving to mourn are daughter Marilyn (David), Brian (Mary deceased), Dean (Beryl) and Lynn (Robert), as well as sisters Florence, Winnie (Norm) and Betty (Willard). She will be forever loved and missed by her 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
Mom was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Morgan and her son Perry Christopher as well as her brothers Chesley, Maxwell and Raymond and sisters Ethel and Violet.
She loved spending time with her family, as well as knitting, crocheting, doing crosswords in the Downhome Magazine, going for her daily walks and reading books on her Kindle. She was also a fan of long road trips, especially to Newfoundland. She always had baked goodies for the grandkids when they came to visit which they loved.
Visitation will be held at Oram’s Funeral Home in Glovertown on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
The funeral will be held at Glovertown United Church at 11:00 on Friday January 31, 2020.
