Chesley Butt

January 21, 1935 - August 5, 2019

Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Hospital on August 5, 2019 in the
presence of his loving family, Chesley Butt of Burnside, aged 84 years.
Predeceased by his parents: Eileen (Ralph) and John Butt, grandparents Mary Ann and Alfred
Butt, sisters Olive, Wavey, Elizabeth; brothers Ronald, Roy, Lawrence and Charles; special
brother Harry Perry; brothers-n-law Hayward Legge; parent-n-laws Violet and William Stagg.
Leaving to mourn and to celebrate his life are his loving wife of 62 years, Elsie; sons John
(Irene), Rick (Damon), Troy (Georgina); daughters Mae, Elizabeth (Richard) and Tina (Rick);
grandchildren Andy (Stephanie), Glenn (Christy), Jonathan (Shannon), Timmy, Megan (Sydney)
Kendra (Dylan), Danika (Jordan), Isabella, Courtney (Cameron) Noah, and Tyler; great
grandchildren Shelby, Mason, Ella, Jorgia, Maxx, Soyer, Isla, Olivia, and Waylon; sisters Neta
(Randy), Clara (James); brothers Pleman (Linda), Wilson (Brandi), brother-n-law John Reid;
sister-n-laws Stella Williams and Mary Williams.
He is also lovingly remembered by a large number of nephews, nieces, cousins and many
friends. Special thanks to the nursing staff and Rev. Harvey Bullen at the James Paton Memorial
Hospital.
Resting at the St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Burnside on Wednesday August 7th visitation 1:00
pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 9:00 pm. The service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for his life
will be held on August 8th at 2 pm at the St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Burnside. Interment to
follow at the St. Alban’s Anglican Cemetery, Burnside.
