We are so saddened to hear of the passing of your mother and my dear sister Alfreda. Shirley and I regret that we cannot be there with you today to celebrate the graduation of Alfreda from this world into heaven. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you in spirit and we cherish our memories.

One of my fondest memories of my sister ,though there be many, is when as a young man of 15, she took me into her home in Corner Brook and the luxury of that, afforded me to get established and meet my future bride where Alfred invited Shirley Giles to a birthday party for her daughter Shirley . Coinsedentially, both had the same name.

Alfred you will be deeply missed by all, but we look forward to a glorious reunion in heaven with Mom,Dad and the rest of our brothers and sisters who you have already joined. Until then we'll say a good night down here but good morning up there.

I was so sad to hear of the passing of aunt Alfred. I have a lot of childhood memories of going to Glovertown with dad and mom (Junior and Mabel) and visiting. I was always amazed by her cake decorating ability. 25 years ago she created a magnificent wedding cake when Paul and I were married. She drove into town and took hours to assemble it. We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom and Grandmother, we understand your grieving, some say it gets easier while I disagree I tend to hold on to the special times that I had with my mother and somehow it gets me through.
