The Higgins family is saddened to announce the passing of their dear beloved Mother, Loretta Higgins (Howse), on November 1, 2018 at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at age 81 years.
Predeceased by her husband Willian Higgins, her parents Joseph and Mary Howse, her stepfather Nathan Best, her sister Elizabeth Baldwin and her infant brother and sister Vernon and Lucy
Leaving to mourn with wonderful memories, her son Allan Higgins ( Phyllis ) and her three daughters Trudy Littlejohn ( John ), Beverly MacEachern ( Robert ) and Paula Patey ( Kenneth ), nine grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.
Also leaving to mourn her two brothers Edward Howse ( Sue ) and Alwyn Howse ( Viola ) and her three sisters Bridie Sweetapple, Ida Chase ( Ronald ) and Patricia Ralph ( Rex ). Plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the ICU staff at Curtis Memorial Hospital and the staff at the John M Gray long term care facility in St. Anthony for all the love and care they showed to her and the family while she stayed there.
There will be a family service at Oram's Funeral Home on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 1 p.m. Followed by a church service at the United Church at 2 p.m.
