Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, April 2, 2018, Verna Belle Mercer (Parsons), age 79. Predeceased by husband, James Mercer, parents, John and Georgina Parsons, and brother Stewart Parsons.
Leaving with fond and loving memories, daughters, Goldwyn, Lynn (Benson Payne), grandson, Byron Payne (April), great grandson, Brayden, brothers, Donald Parsons (Vera), Norman Parsons (Doreen), sisters, Melita Noble (Stanley), Eva Langdon (Cyril), sister in law, Elsie Parsons, brother in law, Clifford Mercer, and special niece, Barbara Rice, a large extended family, her special family, staff and residents of Oram's Emmanuel Manor, Gambo, and a wide circle of friends. Special thanks to the staff of the palliative care unit at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander and Major Donna Hayward. Visitation at Oram's Funeral Home, Dover on Wednesday, April 4 from 7:00-9:00 and Thursday, April 5, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00. Funeral Service to be held at the Salvation Army Church in Dover on Friday at 2:00pm.
