Condolence From: Phil Riggs
Condolence: I've known Lorna since we were both 4 years old, on the Plant Road. She always joked that she and I always competed for first and second place at school, in the old one room school on the Plant Road. Then she'd always chuckle and say - "Sure Phil, you and I were the only ones in the same grade."
When we were four years old, the first time I walked down by myself from our house to Lorna's house (Imagine being allowed to do that now!) we had a grand bit of fun. Aunt Lizzie, her grandmother, had a box of cod liver oil capsules. We snuck them for ourselves and took a handful each. Lorna got under one side of a bed and I got on the other side. We proceeded to squirt them at each other, under the bed. We were in quite a mess by the time Aunt Lizzie discovered what we were up to. I got pipped home. She got a good lambasting, as did I. But we always chuckled about that story for the rest of our lives.
It seems we always had a chuckle whenever we got together. That's why we were always friends! I'll certainly miss you. Love Phil and Lyla

Condolence: My deepest sympathy to all of Lorna,s family I met Lorna many years ago at my moms she was a beautiful lady a big smile at all times? Mom spoke of her often and she always got a card from her at Christmas and even after mom had passed we got a card from Lorna she did not know mom had passed. Over the years I had met her son and his wife through a friend of mine and found out that my friends daughter was married to Lorna!s son and last year I met Lorna again at the arts and culture and her smile shone in all that crowd and I got talking to her and she told me I reminded her of my beautiful mom.

Soar high my friend with the angels !!!

Condolence From: Jeanette Mahoney
Condolence: Dear David, Kelly and family
It is with deep sadness that I learned of the passing of your beautiful mother, Lorna. My thoughts are with you at this very sad time. I have many fond memories of Lorna and long summer days spent with her and Danny, Grandmother and Grandfather at Angle Brook and the fun we had back then when we were so young. Lorna was a very special person and I will always remember and cherish those memories.
With my deepest sympathy
Jeanette Mahoney

Condolence: Cousins – David, Kelly and family,
It is with a lump in my throat that I sent this condolence to you.
Lorna, along with Danny are two of my cousins I grew up with – living with them in Angle Brook for my first days of school – playing games like “old mother witch” around the barrel of stones that seemed to hold grandmother’s clothes line up. Using our imaginations to make “mud cakes” out of the variety of coloured clay we dug out of the ground. …and endless hours of hide-and-seek in the garden near the house (before the other houses were built). …and, of course, all of us scurrying home when grandmother blew the “police whistle” she had.
As young adults and adults there were other memories – those of family get-togethers; the summer I first had my license, when Jeanette, Marie and I came to spend some time at our Dad’s cabin – David you were with your Mom and shared that time with us. I do not know if you recall the bear alarm created by your mother and Jeanette to ward off the bears (imagined or real?); either way it was great fun!
On another visit, during the time I was living in Buchans, amid laughter and fun she gave Alison a pink china cup to remember her ‘fun-loving’ cousin. Indeed we will remember her and treasure the memory of times we shared.
Today, and in the days ahead, we hold you in though and prayer as you journey through this time of grief.
With lots of love,
Ettie and Alison X

Condolence: Dear David, Kelly and families. We are very saddened to hear of Lorna’s passing. She had a special place in my heart as I have fond memories of her from times we visited Glovertown when I was a child. I was very happy to have had the opportunity to see her a few years ago and catch up a bit. She was indeed a beautiful person. R.I.P Lorna

Condolence From: Phyllis Feltham
Condolence: To Lorna's Family.

I am truly sorry to hear of Lorna's passing .....we went to High School together but it was at Oram's Birchview Manor where my Mom (Grace Feltham) had resided for 8 years that I came to know Lorna again. She was a very friendly, kind and compassionate lady and I'm sure she will be missed by all who knew her. Sincere thoughts are with you all and may your cherished memories of her bring you peace, strength and comfort.
