Obituary for Lorna Elsie Dalphene Denty (Janes)

It is with profound sadness that the family of Lorna Elsie Dalphene Denty (Janes) announces her passing on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the age of 69.
Left with loving and everlasting memories are Lorna's two children, David (Mary Lynn) and Kelly, her two cherished grandchildren, Jennifer (Corey) and Johnathan, her beloved great-grandson, Felix, her special and treasured sister-in-law, Maisie, her nieces, nephews, including her buddy Jack, her Aunt Marg, Uncle Harold and all the Stroud, Janes, McCormack and Denty families.
Lorna was pre-deceased by her parents Galphene and Elsie Janes, grandparents Fred and Elizabeth Stroud, her one and only brother, Danny Janes, whom she adored, her first husband, Dave McCormack and her second husband, Gorden Denty.

The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Oram's Funeral Home in Glovertown.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm at St. Edward's Anglican Church in Glovertown, and burial will follow at the Anglican Cemetery in Traytown.

Words are inadequate; in fact, they simply do not exist when trying to express gratitude to the Oram family. Your kindness, generosity and support to, and for, Lorna over the years both as an employee and getting her settled in her new, beautiful "home" (special thanks to Jamie and Melissa) where she was so happy and content the past few months, is etched in her heart, and the hearts of her family, forever. She always spoke so highly and proudly of you all and even towards the end when it was difficult for her to communicate, the mention of Karen, Pauline or her special Paul (raisin bread without the raisins), brought a smile to her face and that twinkle to her eye. We are eternally grateful....Thank you!

Lorna will be remembered for her zest for life, her sense of humour and her most beautiful smile. Despite all of her challenges, especially this past year, and specifically this past three weeks, she stayed true to herself and continued to give glimpses of her humour and smile right to the very end. When she felt her light could no longer shine as bright as she wanted it to, she knew it was time to go -- on her own terms, in her own time. There's something beautiful about that -- beautiful just like her smile.
