So truly sorry to hear of Lucie's passing.It comes as quite a shock as she was the most vibrant person you could ever meet.....when she spoke to you.....she spoke only to you. Lucie was a fun loving person and I knew her through riding horses which she was quite an accomplished rider. She loved animals as is evident in obedience training of her dogs.....such an awful shame of someone so talented gone much much too early

My condolences to Lucie's family and friends. Lucie supported and helped our organization in the Montreal area in her role with the JAC Foundation and with Community Shares. Her joyful dedication was an inspiration to those around her.

I first met Lucie at the West Island Community Shares (WICS) golf tournament in June 2003. She had just left WICS to be the Executive Director at John Abbott College (JAC) Foundation. She invited me to lunch. I found out later that when Lucie invited you to lunch "Watch out"! By August, I was a member of the JAC Foundation Board. Lucie was a dynamic woman, passionate about community development and fundraising. She and I worked together on a number of different mandates with the Foundation Board and she was always a pleasure to work with. Since we lived near each other, we often met at her home and I had the pleasure of meeting her devoted dogs. Lucie was a role model. She introduced me to value of being a board member for community development. I am now on the board of Friends for Mental Health, one of the community groups supported by WICS. Lucie's legacy lives on! She touched my heart........

I had the great privilege of working with Lucie with both West Island Community Shares and with the JAC foundation. Lucie was a real rarity. A joy to work with. Always calm, compassionate and caring. The world has lost one of its best. Far too young. Lucie will be sadly missed and dearly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

Lucy was a beautiful soul whom with her grace, easy smile ,and intelligence, lit up a room no matter where she was. Her love of animals, and her horseback riding adventures which she loved to share with her friends, always put a smile on her face. Lucy,s legacy of helping others will live on ..she made a difference. My sincere condolences to her family.

Harold, I was so very sorry to hear about Lucie. I have such fond memories of her and the wonderful times we spent together. she was a true leader and mentor.
