Condolence From: Lynette Thomas
Condolence: May my Uncle Ross rest in peace. Some of my favorite younger childhood memories (before moving away from Newfoundland) involve being tickled, tormented, and receiving piggy back rides from him. I have fond memories of berry picking(OK-more eating than picking) near his house, and riding in the back of his pick up truck to Crooked Tree Park and up the hill to his house. I made the trip across Canada back to Newfoundland by myself after graduating from high school, and again after graduating from University. He was just as fun when I was an adult. He started water fights in the kitchen, that for some reason resulted in me being dragged outside and hosed down with the garden hose! He taught me how to shuck scallops and dared me to eat one raw (of course I did). He has always reminded me of a couple of other amazing men-my Dad and Granda. My deepest sympathy to my Dad, to all my aunts and uncles, and especially my Aunt Judy, and cousins Susan and Scott. I wish I could be there to hear the stories that will be told...but my thoughts and prayers will be with you from Texas Lynette Matchim Thomas
