It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Garland Wiseman, age 86 years, on June 4, 2017.

Predeceased by his father Samuel Wiseman, mother Mae Wiseman (nee Taylor), brother Theophilus Wiseman (Leah), sisters Myrtis Boone (Jack) and Susie Vivian (George), and step-son-in-law Alfred Coccia.

Leaving to mourn are his wife Mary Wiseman, son Paul Wiseman, daughter Diane Wiseman (Ralph Collins), step-daughter Maxine Coccia, brother Kitchner Wiseman (Florence), sister Dulcie Keats (Allan), grandchildren: Stephanie, Natasha, Emily, Evan, Charlene, Lisa, five great-grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends.

Garland spent the early years of his life as a logger before working 20 years as a cook's assistant in the logging camps. He also contributed 10 years of his life as a foster parent to 75 babies and young children. He had a love of the outdoors, gardening and a passion for berry picking.
