Obituary for Rosalind Willis

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our precious Mother and grandmother Rosalind Willis, June 1st 2016 at the age of 89 years at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander Nl. Rosalind fought a courageous battle with cancer. She was the oldest child of Dorothy Mouland of Musgrave Harbour NL. She was predeceased by her mother Dorothy Mouland, her sons Selby (1972), and A Frank (2011), sisters Margaret and Sadie, brothers Havalon and Walter Pardy.
Rosalind leaves to mourn her lifelong and loving husband of 73 years William (Bill) Willis , 5 sons and 2 daughters: Marvin John (Beatrice), Newman (Madeline), Carson (Pamela), Laurin (Jane), Juanita (Harry) Button, and Cynthia (Dave) Rowlands, Sisters: Betty Winters, Jean Goodyear, Louise Stratton (Garland) and brother Reginald (Eldred) Pardy, 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Rosalind was a beautiful writer and her stories and poems will live on forever through family and friends. She left a lasting impression and touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was an asset to any group and took on the roles of many positions. She organized and engaged in skits and plays in her church group and became their guiding light. At the age of 86 years Rosalind fought 2 bouts of cancer and all the while still had a positive outlook on life and a smile that would light up the world. She will be greatly missed by all.
The family would like to acknowledge the care and comfort their mother received from the staff of the palliative care unit at James Peyton Memorial Hospital in Gander.
