It is with great sadness that the family of Vera (Smith) Pitts announces her sudden passing at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander on May 7, 2017 in her 70th year.  Predeceased by her parents:  Eugene and Mary Smith, sister: Ida Pearl, father and mother-in-law John and Jenny Pitts and brother-in-law Oscar.

Left to mourn her loving husband Leonard, her son: Rodney (Sherry) and two daughters: Kim (Craig) and Karen (Kevin).  Grandchildren: Curtis (Courtney), Alecia (Andrew), Riley, Emilee, and Matthew.  Step grandchildren: Jennifer (Shawn), Anthony (Alyssa), and Nicholas.  Great-grandchildren: Sophie and Seth.  Step grandchildren: Tucker and Carter.  Brothers: Gordon, Bill (Dee), Sister: Mildred (Ted).  Brothers-in-law: Clayton (Barb), Bruce (Elaine), Wayne (Margaret), Everett (Joan) and Murley (Hannah).  Sister-in-law:  Effie, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
