Obituary for Stewart Parsons

Passed away on May 4th at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Stewart W. Parsons of Dover,NL. Age 81 years. 
Stewart was born to John and Georgina Parsons of Dover on February 01/1936, and at the young age of 16 he started to work in the lumber camps in Gull Pond.
On December 15/1960 he married the love of his life "Elsie Keats" and made their home in Dover where they started a family. A few years later he went to work at Bowaters in Glenwood, and in 1969 the family moved to Toronto and went to work.But that didn't last very long. His heart was back in Newfoundland where he returned and worked in the construction industry.After a few years he then continued his logging career until he retired in 1983.

Family was a very important part of his life.He loved each and everyone beyond measure.He will be missed by his large circle of friends who knew his door was always open.
He is pre-deceased by his parents.
Leaving to mourn is his loving wife of 56 years Elsie,
son Perry(Carol), daughter Glenys(Calvin),son John,
grandaughters Lori(Dion) Christine(Alan)Tara(Dwayne)
Deanne(Mitchell)grandson Bobby(Lindsay)
Greatgrandchildren Blake,Paige,Emma,Lexi,Caden,Peyton
and Logan .
2 brothers Donald(Vera) Norman(Doreen)
3 sisters Verna, Melita(Stanley) Eva(Cyril)
and a large circle of family and friends.

Visitation will take place at Oram's Funeral Home, Dover on Saturday 7-9 PM, Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will take place from the Dover Salvation Army on Monday at 2:00pm with internment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lockyers Bay.
