Obituary for Donald Baker

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Donald William Baker. He was taken by a very short but brave battle with cancer at the age of 68 years in the James Paton Memorial Hospital on Tuesday March 21, 2017, surrounded by his family. Don resided in Culls Harbour, NFLD for the past 20+ years. He lived with his sister Shirley (Wayne) Watkins for the last 6 months during his illness. Don has a large circle of family and friends that he loved dearly and they loved him in return. Don was predeceased by his daughter, Tanya Dawn Reid, parents Gladys and Silas Baker. His brother David Baker and Uncle William (Bill) Genge.

Don lived in many provinces during his years of employment, as a commercial electrician. He used to own his company for many years and as well as working in his fathers' in the younger years as a Fuel Truck Driver.

Don loved his family dearly and loved taken care of them. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Stephanie Henderson and his 2 grandchildren, Cameron Henderson and Clark Reid, as well as his son-in-law Richard Reid. His sisters, Patsy (Ray) Baker, Irene (George) Saunders, Shirley (Wayne) Watkins, and Joan Baker. His Great Nephew, Robert Chicoine, who he loved very much and was like a grandchild to him. His brothers, Ivan (Patty) Baker, and Cyril (Jean) Baker. As well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews, Nieces, extended family and friends.
